Jan Petrus Koop, clinical instructor in the Osteopathic Medicine Department, has been lecturing and training osteopathic medical students in both the United States and Europe for over 25 years. His thesis is on the osteopathic treatment of endometriosis. He has also completed five years of additional specialty training in pediatric and obstetric osteopathy in Switzerland. He has a faculty appointment with the Sutherland Cranial College of Osteopathy (UK); is the past president of Osteopathische Kindersprechstunde, a free clinic serving pediatric patients; and is a former board member of the Verband der Osteopathen Deutschland, the largest member organization of osteopaths in Germany.
