Jeffery R. Gardere, PhD, ABPP
Jeffrey Gardere, PhD, ABPP, is a board-certified clinical psychologist and an Associate Professor and Course Director at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York City and Middletown, NY. He is the Director of Clinical Training for the PsyD program in clinical psychology, health emphasis and associate professor of psychology at the School of Health Sciences of Touro College. He received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from George Washington University, is a licensed psychologist in the State of New York, and is a board-certified clinical psychologist. In addition to his academic work, Dr. Gardere has been active in the practice of clinical psychology within integrated community health care and is the author of several books. One of these texts, Practical Parenting, was co-authored with Montel Williams, the Emmy-award winning TV talk show host. Dr. Gardere’s first book, Smart Parenting for African Americans: Helping Your Kids Thrive in a Difficult World has been lauded as being “necessary for raising African-American children in today’s society.”
