Alex Charbonneau, PhD

Dr. Charbonneau is a distinguished structural biologist and educator with significant experience in organizing student involvement in research. Dr. Charbonneau received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Saint John's University before pursuing his graduate studies at Montana State University, where he earned both his M.S. and Ph.D. in Biochemistry. His doctoral research focused on the structural and biochemical characterization of signaling mechanisms in archaeal immune systems. Dr. Charbonneau's research interests include protein folding, proteinopathies, transcriptional regulation, and the inflammatory response in women's health and fertility. His expertise and dedication to advancing scientific knowledge and fostering student engagement in research will be invaluable to our community.
