Graduation & Commencement Information

Welcome to the central location for information pertaining to graduation and commencement!

Graduation refers to the fulfillment of your requirements to earn your degree. A student must complete the application to graduate form, be considered in good standing (all fees paid, transcripts provided and assessed), and all coursework satisfactorily completed.

Commencement refers to the ceremony where upon the achievement of the degree is recognized and celebrated by the Touro University & College System, the graduates, and their family members.

Diplomas will be distributed by the Office of the Registrar only to those students who have fulfilled ALL of the necessary requirements to graduate. The distribution schedule will be announced at a later date.

Graduation Eligibility Requirements

Students who have met and fulfilled all of the following criteria are eligible for graduation:

  • Complete degree program by the close of the Spring Semester
  • Complete your application for graduation by logging on to the TouroOne portal. All applications must be completed by April 30th, 2022.
  • Complete the Alumni Data Collection Survey (Class of 2022 Alumni Information)
  • Complete the AACOM Academic Survey of Graduating Seniors (survey link to be provided at a later date).
  • Complete Exit Counseling, if you applied for federal loans during your attendance at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine (contact the Office of Financial Aid)
  • Fulfill all financial and academic obligations to the University = “Good Standing”

Diplomas will be issued after ALL of the above requirements are fulfilled.  If you would like to receive your diploma on the day of graduation, you will need to meet the requirements by the dates listed below. 

Timetable to be announced

  • Harlem graduates must order Cap, Hood, and Gown (a link to the order form will be provided at a later date).
  • Graduates not attired in appropriate academic regalia will not be allowed to participate in the ceremony.
  • Graduates are responsible for all of their own regalia. No regalia will be made available at Commencement.

Masters Program Graduation & Commencement Information

Diplomas will be issued by the Touro University System. According to Touro College policy you are considered to be a “Candidate for Graduation” status until the institution confirms you eligible to receive a Master of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies in Biological and Physical Sciences.
