Physicians for Human Rights will be hosting guest speaker, JD Stier, Campaign Director of Stand with Congo, an inclusive social movement hub uniting activists, civil society leaders, techies, private sector innovators, and other global citizens with the Congo peace movement. We will watch a beta version of Stand With Congo’s thirty minute film that follows the Congolese struggle forhuman rights and democracy from independence to today, including the non-violent youth pro-democracy movement and push for mining transparency.
