Graduation & Commencement Information

Welcome to the central location for graduation and commencement information!

Graduation refers to the fulfillment of your requirements to earn your degree. To graduate, a student must:

  • Complete the Application to Graduate Form: This form can be accessed on the TouroOne Portal (under the academics tab on the portal, you will find instructions on how to apply for graduation).
  • Maintain Good Standing: Ensure all fees are paid, transcripts are provided, and any outstanding assessments are resolved.
  • Satisfactorily Complete All Coursework: Successfully finish all required courses for your program

Commencement refers to the ceremony whereupon the achievement of the degree is recognized and celebrated by Touro University, the graduates, and their family members.

Diplomas will be distributed by the Office of the Registrar only to those students who have fulfilled ALL of the necessary requirements to graduate. The distribution schedule will be announced at a later date.

Graduation Eligibility Requirements

Students who have met and fulfilled all of the following criteria are eligible for graduation:

  • Complete the degree program by the close of the 2024 Spring Semester.
  • Complete your application for graduation by logging on to the TouroOne Portal. All applications must be completed by April 30, 2024.
  • Complete the Alumni Data Collection Survey.
  • Complete the AACOM Academic Survey of Graduating Seniors. You will receive an email from AACOM with further instructions. 
  • Complete Exit Counseling if you received federal student loans during your attendance at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine (contact the Office of Financial Aid).
  • Fulfill all financial and academic obligations to the University = “Good Standing.”

Diplomas will be issued after ALL of the above requirements are fulfilled.  

Masters Program Graduation & Commencement Information

Diplomas will be issued by the Touro University System. According to Touro University policy, you are considered to be a “Candidate for Graduation” status until the institution confirms you are eligible to receive a Master of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies in Biological and Physical Sciences.
