Graduation & Commencement

Congratulations to our Master of Science and Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Class of 2017 graduates! We're excited to celebrate your big day with you. Review the information here and the important details on the DO logistics and MS logistics pages for the details you'll need to make sure everything goes smoothly.

DO Graduation & Commencement

Graduation Eligibility

Students who have met and fulfilled all of the following criteria are eligible for graduation:

Diplomas will be issued after ALL of the above requirements are fulfilled.

Commencement

Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine invites all eligible graduates to participate in Commencement on Thursday, June 15th, 2017 at 1:00 pm EST at the Apollo Theater, 253 W 125th Street, New York, NY 10027.

  • Order Cap, Hood, and Gown by March 1st.
  • Graduates not attired in appropriate academic regalia will not be allowed to participate in the ceremony.
  • Graduates are responsible for all of their own regalia. No regalia will be made available at Commencement.

Graduation refers to the fulfillment of your requirements to earn your degree. A student must complete the application to graduate form, be considered in good standing (all fees paid, transcripts provided and assessed), and all coursework satisfactorily completed.

Commencement refers to the ceremony where upon the achievement of the degree is recognized and celebrated by the Touro University & College System, the graduates, and their family members.

Diplomas will be distributed by the Office of the Registrar on June 15, 2017, after the graduation ceremony to those students who have fulfilled ALL of the necessary requirements to graduate (detailed information regarding distribution TBA).

MS Graduation & Commencement

Please review the information below and be sure to visit the logistics page for additional information. 

Graduation Eligibility

Students who have met and fulfilled all of the following criteria are eligible for graduation:

  • Complete degree program by the close of the 2017 Spring Semester
  • Complete MS Application for Graduation by May 1st
  • Complete Exit Counseling, if you applied for federal loans during your attendance at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine (contact the Office of Financial Aid)
  • Fulfill all financial and academic obligations to the University = “Good Standing”

Diplomas will be issued after ALL of the above requirements are fulfilled.

Commencement

Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine invites all eligible graduates to participate in Master's Commencement on Monday, May 8, 2017 at 10:00 am EST at The Alhambra Ballroom, 6th floor.

According to Touro College policy you are considered to be a “Candidate for Graduation” status until the institution confirms you eligible to receive a Master of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies in Biological and Physical Sciences.
