DO Day in Albany
First years from TouroCOM traveled to Albany to lobby for their profession. They met with Senators and Assembly Members from different New York districts to ensure they have the appropriate knowledge to make informed decisions regarding osteopathic medicine legislation.
Urban Health - take 2
TouroCOM was one of the sponsors of the 2nd Annual Urban Health Conference which took place at Harlem Hospital on March 28.
Dr. Smith Goes to Washington (AACOM)
Members of the TouroCOM family travelled with Dean Goldberg to Washington D.C. on March 28th to meet with legislators, as part of AACOM’s COM Day on Capitol Hill.
Family in Florida
TouroCOM students-Rachel Juchnowski OMS1, Jennifer Chovitch OMS1, and Angelene Elliott OMS2 -participated in the ACOFP (American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians) conference in Kissimmee, FL. Here students met with Shrek and Co. as well as learned different techniques in family medicine.

Walk It, Harlem
Several TouroCOM students volunteered at Harlem Children’s Zone “Walk it out” event on Saturday March 24. “Walk it out” is a program designed to promote healthy lifestyles in Harlem. Students that participated included: Azuka Onye, Eguono Eduvie, Catrina LeBlanc, Orlando Thomas, and Anastasia Clervil.
