Teresa Gunn, PhD

Teresa Gunn is a professor at the McLaughlin Research Institute (MRI) and Touro University and directs the MRI's Gene Editing and Mutant Mouse Assessment Core Facility. She received her PhD in Genetics at the University of British Columbia and did her post-doctoral training at Stanford University. She was the Robert Hovey Udall Assistant Professor of Genetics in the Department of Biomedical Sciences in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University before moving to Great Falls to join the MRI in 2009.

Research
Research interests include the generation and characterization of mouse models of human disease, with a focus on neurodegenerative and neurodevelopmental disorders as well as congenital heart defects, with the goal of gaining a better understanding of the underlying pathways and identifying potential therapeutic targets.
