Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine (TouroCOM) awarded Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degrees to 258 new doctors last week at separate events for the TouroCOM Middletown and TouroCOM Harlem campuses.

The Class of 2025 Middletown received their diplomas at festive ceremonies held at Middletown’s Paramount Theatre on May 12, followed by TouroCOM Harlem’s commencement on May 15 at the famed Apollo Theater across the street from the school.

The celebrations began with welcomes from Dean of Student Affairs Nadege Dady, EdD in Harlem and Associate Dean of Students Frank Rose in Middletown, followed by traditional academic processions of faculty, administration, guest speakers and students, accompanied by a color guard, grand marshal and bagpipes.

Opening ceremonies included commissioning of military students and a welcome and invocation from Touro University Executive Vice President Rabbi Moshe Krupka.

Touro Leadership Congratulates the Class

Congratulations flowed from Touro University President Dr. Alan Kadish, Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost, Graduate and Professional Division Dr. Patricia Salkin, and TouroCOM Executive Dean Dr. Kenneth Steier.

“We are extremely proud of the TouroCOM Class of 2025, who are among the top medical school graduates in the nation,” said Dean Steier. “In fact, 10 graduating seniors achieved perfect 4.0 GPAs over four years at TouroCOM, and shared the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence.”

Awards and Accolades

Awards followed inspirational remarks from keynote speakers Dulaya Santikul, DO, the Program Director for the Emergency Medicine Residency at Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown and an adjunct professor at TouroCOM Middletown, and former New York Governor David Paterson, who also serves as Vice President of Campus Engagement, and Distinguished Professor at Touro University.
