Dr. Maurice Wright

Dr. Maurice Wright is the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for New York City Health and Hospital | Harlem and Senior Associate Dean of Columbia University Medical Center. Formally, he held the position of Chief of Emergency Services at Woodhull Medicine Center for 14 years at St. Luke’s, Roosevelt Hospital Center, where he completed his residency and later became a faculty member and Assistant Director for the Department of Emergency Medicine.

As CMO, he is the principal medical advisor to the CEO of New York City Health and Hospitals | Harlem. All academic responsibilities for Columbia University students and the ACGME-regulated post-graduate training programs at Harlem Hospital Center fall under his leadership. He holds several academic appointments, including Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Columbia University and Medical Director of the CUNY Physicians Assistant Program. Dr. Wright is a graduate of Fordham University and Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Mr. Walter J. Edwards

A founding partner and Chief Executive Officer of Full Spectrum of NY, Mr. Edwards is responsible for the company’s overall direction. He has used his 60+ years of “in the trenches” entrepreneurial experience to position Full Spectrum for business opportunities locally and internationally. Mr. Edwards maintains high-level relationships with elected officials, corporate leaders, community leaders and others who impact the community’s economic development, education and health outcomes. He actively engaged within the Harlem community as a mentor of numerous entrepreneurs and business professionals.

Currently, Mr. Edwards serves as the Board Chair of the Harlem Business Alliance and CHIP International, Inc. and most recently as Chair of the Mosque of Islamic Brotherhood and Founding Member of The Touro Community Advisory Board. Past board participation includes the Harlem Waterfront Board, Harlem Police Athletic League Alumnae Assoc., Minority Business Leadership Council, the New Majority, Go Green East Harlem Initiative – Green Building Committee and the NYS Procurement Council. Mr. Edwards is widely recognized and respected for his integrity and willingness to take principled positions for his businesses and community.
