Wilderness and Medicine Club Trail Cleanup
We are reaching out to students for help in cleaning up local hiking trails. Students will be asked to sign up in groups of 5 to limit contact and to follow local guidelines for hiking and to encourage the use of masks and social distancing.
The trails recommended to students will be within 30 minutes of campus to ensure travel is minimized. Students will be offered gloves and garbage bags from our organization, but it will be recommended for the students to use their own equipment to minimize spread. Students will be required to sign up for the event using our event form to ensure that several trails are covered. In order to encourage student participation and to keep track of progress we will be asking students to submit photos of their efforts to be shared on social media. The event will be advertised to students via email and social media (Facebook/Instagram) ahead of time.
Students will be allowed to participate in this event on their own time, anytime from the morning of Friday, September 25th to the evening of Monday, September 28th.
