Here is a description of the seminar:

Emotional Wellness

• Balancing medical school and life’s stressors
• SAD: seasonal affective disorder & how to manage it
• Why medical students experience depression, burnout and other mental health diagnoses at higher rates

TouroCOM Peer Counseling Program:

• Learn nonjudgmental interpersonal communication, empathetic listening, and crisis intervention techniques.
• These skills can be used every day to help friends/family, build good relationships with patients (OSCE/Step 2), and in future interview situations.
