Tie Dye for Therapy Dogs is an in-person event and depending on the number of people interested, we will make a plan accordingly on how to schedule a limited number of people to come and make their tie dye shirts (10 people at a time). All proceeds will be used to purchase thank you gifts for our Touro therapy dogs - Mishka, Ruby, Emma and Coalby.
Students will have the opportunity to contribute to this community service/fundraiser event in 3 ways:
- $20 - shirt and dye equipment provided (gloves, dye, water, bags, etc.)
- $10 - for people who want to bring their own white apparel to dye
- $20 - for anyone who wants to make a tie dye shirt but cannot attend the event (limited color selection).
CDC Guidelines will be followed: Social distancing and wearing a mask at all times will be required.
Safety Protocol:
- Check-in: Students will sign up for specific time slots (30-min increments) - limited 10 people for each slot.
- Masks are mandatory to attend the event. (Masks will also be available for purchase, if needed.)
- Participants must complete the Touro Health Check Survey and show it to E-board member.
- Temperatures will be checked upon check in.
- Each student will be given an individual bundle with all the items they need to complete the tie dye activity.
- Students will maintain 6ft social distancing (signs will be displayed).
- Gloves will be provided to participate in the tie dye activity.
- Hand sanitizer will be available for use.
- Photos will be taken for future advertisement of fundraising events for the Pets In Medicine Club.
