Suicide Prevention Week 09-2019

September is Suicide Prevention Month so the Mental Empowerment Directive (MED) and Wellness Committee will be holding events/raising awareness throughout the week and we would love for everyone to participate!
The initiatives for the week are as follows:
Monday: Coffee and D.O.nuts from 11am-1pm in front of Jay Sexter auditorium.
During this event we will have a poster that we encourage everyone to add some words of affirmation. After, this poster will hang on the fishbowl. We also encourage everyone to add a temporary profile picture, which I will attach to this email.
Tuesday: World Suicide Prevention Day Ally Graphic: You are not alone.
Tuesday you are encouraged to share this picture on social media in order to raise awareness for suicide and to let our peers, friends, and family know that they are not alone. I will also attach this picture.
Wednesday: Info graphic: #Save400.
Wednesday you are encouraged to share the info graphic on social media detailing the increased incidence of suicide among physicians. I will also attach this image to the email.
Thursday: Resource Day and Color Day.
Thursday you are encouraged to wear pink/shades in the pink spectrum. We will then take a picture in the courtyard (weather permitting) or in the atrium (weather not permitting) at Noon. You are also encouraged to share suicide resources.
