SOSA hosts Be The Match

This week, on Wednesday March 30th from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm, SOSA will be hosting Be The Match, a nationwide community committed to helping patients in need of a marrow transplant or peripheral blood stem cell transplant.
Today, every three minutes, one person is diagnosed with a blood cancer and every 10 minutes, someone dies from a blood cancer. Seventy percent of patients with a blood cancer do not have a matched donor in their family - making Be The Match their only chance at life.
If you would like to learn more about the registry, and the Be The Match process, please stop by the Jay Sexter auditorium at 12:00pm for a short presentation - snacks and beverages will be provided. If you would like to join the registry (quick cheek swab) or have any further questions, please stop by our table that will be in the Atrium from 10:00am - 2:00pm.
