SOMA Social Med Event

SOMA is excited to present their first Social Medicine event of the semester! Fellow 4th year student Nasir Malim has made time in his busy schedule to spend time with us!
His talk is titled "Social Medicine in Action". He will talk about a few patient cases that he experienced while rotating at the well-known IM/FM Social Medicine program at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx.
Bio: Nasir Malim is an OMS IV at TouroCOM Middletown. He has served as the National Director of Health Disparities for SOMA for the previous 2 years. He used his academic training in the humanities and public health to found the Social Medicine Program on the Middletown campus
For 2nd years who are trying to complete events for the SM Certificate and had planned to attend Hope Brennan's workshop on testing strategies, please attend her workshop. We may have an extra event this semester for the SM certificate! However, let me know if you will need one due to the conflict.
