Please join TouroCOM Middletown's Rainbow Health Coalition, SOMA, and our special guest speaker Dr. Kinton Rossman for a discussion on the history of transgender/gender diverse populations’ medical care and current experiences of patients.
Through this event, we hope to increase medical providers’ knowledge of transgender and gender-diverse populations with a focus on improving patient care as future osteopathic physicians!
Our speaker, Dr. Rossman PhD (they/them), is a psychologist and nonbinary trans person who has experience working with LGBTQIA+ populations across their lifespan. They received their doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of Louisville. Dr. Rossman has a passion for working with transgender and gender-diverse people and facilitating access to affirming medical care. They have experience in grassroots organizing around LGBTQIA+ healthcare access in Kentucky and their past roles include the Coordinator of the Minor Youth Hormone Program at Howard Brown Health in Chicago. They currently run a private practice focusing on trauma work for and with the LGBTQIA+ community.
