OOPTIC will be holding a training session for students interested in learning how to perform vision and hearing screening. We will be going over documentation, patient interaction, and testing (Snellen eye chart, Ishihara color vision testing, Amsler grid macular degeneration, whispered voice test, Weber test, and Rinne test).
This training is mandatory for those that are interested in doing vision/hearing screening at the Murid Mosque or Touro Health fair. These health fairs are a great opportunity to refine your skills and interact with the community.
For the Masters students, this is a great alternative for volunteering at the health fair if you do not have any previous medical experience.
