Operation ID is offered free of charge by the New York City Police Department and involves registering the serial number of valuable portable electronics along with the owners name and contact information.
To introduce the NYPD Operation ID Program, Police Officer Victor Pena from the 28th Precinct will be on campus on Tuesday, February 9th & Wednesday, February 10th on the 4th floor, right outside the cafeteria between the hours of 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
Items can also be engraved with a uniquely identifiable serial number prefaced with the letters N.Y.C. If you are interested in registering your Cellphones, Laptops and other Electronics with the NYPD Operation ID Program stop by to see Office Pena.
