Manual Vacuum Aspiration (MVA) Workshop
Manual Vacuum Aspiration (MVA) is a safe, simple, and highly effective procedure used for early surgical abortion, miscarriage management, treatment of failed medical abortion, and endometrial biopsy.
In this hands-on clinical skills workshop, we’ll use papayas as our model — you’ll practice the MVA technique by removing pulp and seeds, simulating the suctioning of products of conception from the uterus.
This exciting session will be led by amazing OB/GYNs, including Dr. Findley, and a Family Planning Fellow!
