Journal Club Meeting - Harlem

March 1, 2017 12:00pm – 1:00pm ET
03/1/17 12:00 PM 03/1/17 1:00 PM Journal Club Meeting - Harlem LH1 Journal Club Meeting - Harlem
TouroCOM - Harlem

Discussion Leader: Samuel Cohen | Article: The Illness Experience of Undocumented Immigrants with End-stage Renal Disease

Each article is focused on a common clinical problem. We expect attendees to read the article and then meet to discuss the background, methods, results, conclusions and implications. You do not need to have previous research experience to participate.

The goal is to gain experience reading and analyzing biomedical research before we enter rotations and residency where we will be expected to demonstrate these skills through presentations for our attendings. In addition, this is a great way to get to know your professors as well as your fellow schoolmates.

Journal club meets every other Wednesday. Every third meeting will be a "primer" which is an introductory discussion on how to approach and understand literature. This is just another way to prepare us all for our future as physicians. I will send notifications for this tutorials as appropriate.
