Room 310 (3rd Floor Conference Room)

Jake Lichterman will be leading a discussion on Nivolumab, a PD-1 checkpoint inhibitor that is used to treat metastatic melanoma.

Journal Club provides students an opportunity to present current research to faculty and classmates.

What does presenting involve: Students take a journal article of their choosing (preferably from the past 2 years) and present it.

For those interested in attending journal club, we expect you to read the emailed article ahead of time and consider what you like and dislike about the methodology and conclusions of the article. Article discussion will be student led, with all in attendance encouraged to participate in discussion.

Being a discussion leader at journal club, or attending and actively participating in journal club are both great ways to show attending faculty members that you are passionate about research, which can be reflected in your MPSE (Dean's Letter) that you will be submitting to residency programs.
