Fall 2016 NYC Health Village Blood Pressure Screening Event
Harlem Week is a collection of community events that celebrates Harlem, such as the 5K Run & Walk, and the NYC Health Village. This volunteer event will have up to 5 stations, each with a 1 hour shift.
Please note the following:
1. Volunteers can help prior to the event and with site break-down/clean up.
2. Generally, student volunteers can volunteer for up to 2 spots/hrs
3. 2nd year DO students are assigned first preference to time slots. 1st year DO students or Master students with previous BP screening experience (Nursing, EMT, and/or PA experience) will also be assigned first preference.
4. All entries are timestamped. 4th year DO students, 3rd year DO students and 1st year DO students and Master Students with no BP screening experience can sign up starting August 9th, 2016.
5. Any early registration by the aforementioned groups in #4 will be deleted without notification.
6. The last day to sign up for all students is August 14th, 2016.
Dress code: business casual attire, white coat, name badge; wear comfortable shoes. No jeans, scrubs, or T-shirts.
Optional items to bring: (1) stethoscope, (1) blood pressure cuff (highly suggested).
