Sundus Haroon

Sundus Haroon found herself drawn to medicine after volunteering at Cornell Hospital as a high school student.

That desire solidified during a visit to Nepal in high school and Pakistan as a freshman in college. “It made me grateful for the medical care we receive in the US and it also made me realize that I wanted a career where I was able to help people,” she said. Like many members of the class, she is a graduate of the master’s program. “It was an amazing program,” she said. “Our teachers had a 24-hour open-door policy.” What drew her to TouroCOM? “I liked Touro’s efforts on diversity and serving in underserved communities.”

Trilingual: Haroon speaks English, Jordanian Arabic, and Urdu.
