Karolina Bezdickova

The daughter of two physicians, Karolina Bezdickova grew up in the medical world. “I fell in love early on,” she said.
Bezdickova attended Stony Brook University where she majored in health science. During her four years at Stony Brook, she was a member of Global Brigades, a student-led movement for global health. As part of the club, she travelled to Honduras, Nicaragua and Ghana. “It’s important to understand what contributes to patient success,” said Bezdickova, who served as the club’s president for two years. “It also makes you appreciate what we have in America. It’s shocking to visit a country and witness how many people have never seen a doctor before.” Bezdickova’s sister is a fourth-year student at TouroCOM Middletown.
Fun Fact: Bezdickova plays both the violin and the piano.
