After graduating from UBC, Israel-born Daniela Ben Neriah opted to broaden her medical knowledge by pursuing a master’s in nutrition from Columbia University.
“I thought it would be a good way to augment my medical education,” explained Ben Neriah who also did research on leukemia at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. “Eventually, I’ll need to tell people to eat healthier and I’ll have the knowledge to tell them exactly what to do.”
Ben Neriah envisions becoming an old-school family physician. “I want to meet someone and help them for the rest of their lives,” she said.
Fun Fact: Ben Neriah has lived in four countries and five cities.
