Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine I Part 1 & 2

These courses are designed to introduce and develop the history, philosophy, and principles and skills of osteopathic health care. This part of the program is the first year of a four-year curriculum and is the beginning of the on-campus two-year training. Emphasis is on the sequential development of the palpatory diagnostic and therapeutic skills of osteopathic manipulative medicine. The course will cover osteopathic approaches to problem solving and patient management, incorporating multiple osteopathic manipulative treatments as appropriate, including: soft tissue, myofascial release, articulatory, counterstrain, muscle energy, and high velocity low amplitude treatments.
