Second Semester - 4 Credit Hours - BSCN 612

The underlying philosophy of this course is that physicians should understand the sciences of immunology and microbiology as they relate to the practice of medicine. Therefore, the goal is to build a foundation of clinically relevant basic science knowledge that will then be applied in the second year Medical Microbiology and Immunology course to the understanding of the etiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment of infections and immunologically mediated diseases.
