The entire Touro community is saddened by the tragic loss of one of our own, Tracy Sin-Yee Tam, DO, a graduate of the class of 2013, who was a victim of the event at Bronx Lebanon Hospital.

The Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine-Harlem is committed to training osteopathic physicians with a particular emphasis on practicing medicine in underserved communities, and to increasing the number of underrepresented minorities in medicine. Three DOs—Rhoda Amiseng, Tatiana Carrillo, and Gabrielle Jasmin—are quintessential examples of both aspects of that very mission. Recently, these three students were chosen to speak at the TouroCOM-Harlem parlor meeting fundraiser to raise donations for underrepresented minorities, which raised nearly $66,000 in scholarships for TouroCOM-Harlem. Ana Michunovich, Moises Enghelberg, Kessiena Aya, and Michael Erickson—four graduates of the class of 2015, and all students of extracellular matrix biochemist and board-certified Anatomic Pathologist Dr. Robert Stern—speak about their published research, how they entered the field of medicine, and their education at TouroCOM.
