Off Campus Access

The TouroCOM Middletown Library offers remote access to our electronic resources including eBooks, Journals and Databases. TouroCOM Middletown students, faculty, adjunct faculty and staff members have Off-Campus Access privileges. All users must create an Off-Campus login in order to access resources remotely. 

Please see the instructions below on how to register for your Off-Campus login. If you encounter any issues during the registration process or if your access has expired, please contact the library at midmed.library@touro.edu.

Off-Campus Access Instructions

In order to access the databases off campus, you will need use a separate log-in.  

1) If you do not have an off campus log-in, go to the Touro Libraries website: http://www.tourolib.org/.

2) Select Off-campus access.

3) Under My Account, click on “sign-up here” to start creating your login..

4) Select Your Touro division (Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine New York) from the drop-down list and click on Submit. 

5) Enter the required information into the form and click submit. You will need to check your email for a confirmation of your registration. A link will be provided to activate your account. Once your account is active, you will be able to access the library databases off campus.

If you do not have a Touro ID number, you may use your library barcode in lieu of an ID number. Please visit the library to obtain a barcode. 

 

TouroCOM Hospital & Clinical Rotation Affiliates

TouroCOM Hospital and Clinical Rotation Affiliates who are credentialed as either an adjunct or a preceptor are welcome to access our electronic resources only. Employees and Residents of our affiliate locations cannot have remote access without being credentialed first. For more information on how to become a credentialed preceptor or adjunct, please contact Ms. Aisha Carter.

Once you have received your Touro credentials, please contact the library at midmed.library@touro.edu with the following information so we can set up your account:

  1. First and Last Name
  2. Work Address
  3. Email Address
  4. Work Phone Number

After we create your library account in our system, we will send you a barcode number that you will use as your Touro ID number when you register for your Off-Campus login. If you encounter any issues with your registration or if your access has expired, please contact the library at midmed.library@touro.edu.
