Harold K. Sirota, DO, is board certified in Family Practice, Fellow of the American College of Family Practice and Chairman of the Department of Primary Care at the Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine. He has served in this role since its inaugural year and is responsible for delivering the following courses: Physical Diagnosis, Primary Care Skills, OSCE, Clinical Systems and Medical Simulation. Dr. Sirota is Chairman of the Students Promotion Committee; serves on the Curriculum and Grievance Committees and is the Medical State Society of New York Tourocom’s Delegate.
He is President and owner of Sunrise Medical Associates, PC in Valley Stream, New York, where he is actively practicing family medicine for over 25 years. Students, Interns and Residents rotate through his office to provide a hands-on experience in learning Primary Care. For the past 16 years, Dr. Sirota has been involved in nutrition and wellness representing various companies as a distributor, creating opportunities for patients, friends and relatives who want to achieve health, wealth and abundance.
Dr. Sirota earned his doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, New York. He fulfilled a rotating family physician internship and residency at Peninsula Hospital Center in Far Rockaway, New York, where he later served as Senior House Officer and as a staff physician. Dr. Sirota is a health advocate and volunteer for many area community organizations. His other civic and professional activities included serving as medical and advisory board member of the Franklin Hospital and Chief of the Division of Family Practice.
His wife’s name is Geri and they are the proud parents of Jared, Cori and Lexi.
